He would sometimes change his story
or attitude about the choices he
made.
Or tell me about how he couldn't
write about the things he used to
write or think about. He seemed
lost, trapped almost.
He seemed as good as Adapting to
a situation or crowd as I was, or
am.

In some ways we shared the same
Background.
In some ways, his friends were
a lot like mine.
But I never saw that it was us
together in the first place.
That was the Connection.
He would often ask for my opinion,
which I never realised mattered too
much.
He would invite me to events, but
I never dared to take it too
seriously.
He could be as Indirect as I can
be, asking me to arrange some
meeting with someone or
about something.
I guess behaviour like that stems
from us both being the Youngest
in the Family.
I'm trying to figure out why I
sometimes feel so responsible
towards him, while he was the one
to tell me that any guy of a
certain age can take care of
himself fine,

I'm lucky that my Parents hardly
put any pressure on me, while
making my choices.
Subconsciously maybe, my Family
is a bit disappointed that I moved
quite far away from Them.
I can act quite competetive, but at
least I didn't have to join a
certain type of sorority for it.
